If you are looking for software to help with
your homeschooling, then I have the list for you!
There are many different
types of software for homeschooling. What I have put together is just a list of
software that my friends or I have used. Depending on your needs, I believe
these resources can really help you out. Some of these are games and some of
them will help you keep track of your lessons, journals, etc.
Edu - Track Homeschool
Edu Track is the first on my list. I have not
used this program. But I have talked with homeschoolers in my co-op and support
group that do use it. They say this program is well worth the money. Edu Track
makes it easy for you to keep track of all your records. Here are some of the
features of this program.
- Lesson Plans
- Track Hours
- Progress Reports
- Teacher's Journal
- Assignment Sheets
- Electronic Filing Cabinet
- Track Attendance
The program is not simply limited to these
features; it is capable of much more. Edu Track is $62.50 with shipping. If you
are tired of doing paperwork then this will be a great program for you. Please
visit their site for more information on this program.
Homeschool Tracker
This is the program that I use. Homeschool
Tracker is free or you can upgrade by paying $39.00. I used the free version
and it is really nice. The free version has everything that I need. In the free
version you can track attendance and hours, manage, copy and reschedule
assignments, and more. This program is definitely worth downloading. You can
upgrade if you want to but I believe the basic program is plenty of what you
need. Please visit their site if you are interested.
Homeschool Easy Records
This is another software that you can use to
track your homeschool progress. You can try this software for 30 days free and
if you decide that you want to keep it you pay only $39.95. I haven't tried
this software personally but I know a couple of people who have. They seem to
enjoy it and they said it was worth the money. The Homeschool Easy Records lets
you create lesson plans, certificates, print records, transcripts and more.
Please visit their site if you are interested in this software.
Homeschool Minder
Homeschool Minder is another tracking
software. This program allows you to keep track of grades, lesson plans,
assignments, transcripts, and more. You can try this program for free. If you
decide that this is the program for you, you can buy it for $39.95. I don't
know anyone who has used this program but you may like it. Visit their site if
you are interested in this tracking software.
Zen HomeSchool
Zen Homeschool has a big selection of
software for the kids. Their selection covers Writing, Reading, Math, Science,
Computers, Keyboarding, and Foreign Language. Most of these products are by
Achieve. This site is worth checking out.
The Homeschool Place
The homeschool place offers some great
educational software. They have many different categories. Some of the
categories are Bible, Language, Geography, Writing, and Spelling. I'm sure you
will find some useful stuff on this site.
Planet CDrom
This is the last site on my list. Planet
CDrom has some great educational titles for homeschoolers. They have Math
Blaster, DK I Love Spelling, and Piano for Kids, just to name a few. Visit
their site to see all that they have to offer.
I know that it is the end of the school year
for most homeschools but it is never too early to start planning for next
school year. I think you will find some great software on these sites. The
tracking software will make it a lot easier on you, if you hate doing paper
work.
